Dr. Usop, The "mental models" framework which emphasizes systems thinking and has been advanced by professor Derek Cabrera and others is one that I support. However, it is actually not the dominant theory or most powerful theory to explain what is going on. And I believe this is true --even with the rise of deep learning AI. From my own research in this area, I believe that humans only rely on a mental model when something represents a completely new experience and is unlike anything they have ever encountered before.
